Amino acids are versatile natural products on their beha- vior and properties, with a variety of biological functions to fulfill. Among them: water-binding, blocking environ- mental damages, restoring normal structure of the der- mis, acting as antioxidants, improving tissue/hair nutri- tion, stimulating synthesis of new collagen, fibroblasts and keratin, as well as promoting wound-healing.
Water accounts for about 60% of the human body and about a half of the remaining part consists of amino acids. They are integral part of the Natural Moisturizing Factor (N.M.F.), which helps to maintain a healthy skin barrier and to keep it hydrated. It is known that the skin contains more amino acids than any other tissue in the living body.
They are the “building blocks” for all life and also the chemical basis for all proteins. The synthesis of fibrous proteins which are vital for the skin, such as collagen and elastin, can only take place if the necessary biological precursors, the amino acids, are available.
Topical Use. Do not inject.
