Sustainable Beauty

Plastic pollution poses a significant threat to marine, human, and planetary health. Did you know that plastic has been found in all corners of our oceans, from the north pole to the south pole, and even a plastic bag has been discovered at 36,000ft (10,898m) at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean’s Mariana Trench, the worlds deepest ocean trench, along with 2,999 other pieces of man-made debris, some of which dated as far back as 30 years.

Reducing plastic waste and introducing responsible cosmetic packaging is a step in the right direction, this is why ekseption have over the last few years increased the product packaging size of many lines, and have made sure that as many products are in light weight PET packaging that has a much better carbon footprint than general plastic packaging or glass, plus it can be recycled into other containers or packaging.

The introduction this year of our new tubs has reduced plastic waste by a whopping 70% per product with an overall 25% waste reduced in the last two years they are still looking at further ways of sustainable beauty.

We further support their mission with paper and sugarcane bags for the clients to take their products home in, and endeavor to make all clients aware of the importance of recycling ekseption packaging after they have finished with their products.

Today, 21st September 2020, is the start of recycle week where we have released our sustainable beauty campaign highlighting some of our 70% less plastic products, and asking our wholesale customers to spread the word to their clients, to pass on the message of disposing the ekseption packaging in a responsible way.

Together we can make a difference. Together we have to increase the percentage of recycled plastic globally which is currently only around 14%.
