Panthenol is a stable alcohol derivative of pantothenic acid or vitamin B5. Found in all living cells, both plant and animal, panthenol is a normal component of skin and hair and is essential for normal metabolism. It is readily absorbed by the skin, where it turns into pantothenic acid, encouraging cellular growth. A deficiency in vitamin B5 in the skin can result in serious dermatological disorders, which shows the importance of this ingredient in maintaining healthy skin.
Panthenol has a distinct humectant character, its hygroscopic properties mean, not only does it bring water to the surface of your skin, but it also penetrates deep into the epidermis infusing water into the cells, and retaining moisture deep within your tissues. It is considered a mega moisturiser because of its emollient properties, it helps to reduce scars and stretch marks and has wound-healing properties, leaving the skin soft, smooth, and supple. Panthenol is extremely moisturising when regularly used over a period of four weeks or more, it takes on an anti-inflammatory role; relieving systemic itching, whilst also helping to soothe dry skin.

General use:
Apply one dose twice a day to clean skin. Once absorbed by the skin, a moisturiser can be applied. In the morning we recommend a All day shield SPF50+ or Urban d protections SPF30.
Serum base formula:
The mixlab serums contain a natural gel based with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid for a velvet and non sticky after-feel. The serum feels rich and nutritive despite it being oil-free. The base formula encompasses and preserves a blend of naturally occurring fruit acids (lactic, citric, tartaric, gluconic), that offer a broad spectrum of activity, including being effective at preventing bacteria, yeast, mold and fungi.
