A professional chemical peel with lactic acid, gluconolactone, hyaluronic acid, sodium lactate, and a buffered pH of 3.
A synergy of lactic acid and gluconolactone, two types of acids with very different properties and molecular weights. The lactic acid with a low molecular weight will penetrate deeper into the skin and produce an intense keratolysis. The gluconolactone with a high molecular weight will act on the superficial skin layers. This action at all the levels of the epidermis target specifically the improvement of the skin moisture, fine lines and skin roughness.
Lactic is naturally found in the skin as part of a metabolic process and helps maintain the pH of the acid mantle between 5.5 and 6.0. It exerts a natural moisturising effect on the skin by attracting water molecules to the stratum corneum and stimulating the synthesis of ceramides, improving and modulating the barrier function. Gluconolctone containing five hydroxyl groups, has also intense hydrating properties. The water infusion peel is non-irritating and does not produce a burning sensation, it is perfect even for dry and hypersensitive skin peel.
