F-TRANEXAMIC works upstream of pigment production, interrupting the plasmin pathway that signals melanocytes after inflammation or UV exposure. It does not inhibit tyrosinase, which is why it partners the tyrosinase blockers rather than duplicating them, and it calms the vascular component of pigmentation alongside.
The preventer rather than the corrector: less pigment forms, so less has to be lifted later. Choose it for diffuse pigment spread across the skin rather than sitting in defined patches, and for holding results once they have been achieved. Also used as a mixing component.
A sterile solution supplied in 5ml vials, for topical application with microneedling and transdermal delivery devices.

How It Works
Most brightening actives work on pigment that already exists, or on the enzyme that makes it. Tranexamic acid works earlier than either. It interrupts the plasmin pathway, the signal that tells melanocytes to start producing pigment after inflammation or UV exposure. Switch the signal off and less pigment forms, so less has to be lightened later.
Because it does not inhibit tyrosinase, it partners the tyrosinase blockers rather than repeating what they do, which is why it appears alongside them in the more complex pigment vials and works well after a corrective course.
It also calms the vascular component of pigmentation, the part driven by blood vessels rather than melanin. And being a single high-strength active in a short formulation, it can be used on its own or mixed into other vials.
