How It Works

Pigmentation rarely responds to one active alone, so this formula attacks it from several directions at once. Glycolic acid exfoliates gently, clearing pigmented cells from the surface. Niacinamide fortifies the barrier and works directly on pigment production. Tranexamic acid and hexyl-resorcinol work in synergy on the spots themselves. Vitamin E and squalane sit underneath all of it, providing antioxidant nourishment and locking moisture in.

What carries them is a phospholipid emulsion, skin-identical molecules that mirror the skin's own lipid structures, so the actives penetrate readily and the formula soothes rather than strips as it works. The same natural emulsifier produces the cooling effect felt on application, and lets the serum absorb quickly without fragrance.

Key Active Ingredients

• Tranexamic Acid 1%: works on dark spots and uneven tone, pairing with hexyl-resorcinol for a spot-fading synergy stronger than either alone.
• Hexyl-resorcinol 1%: targets pigmentation directly, working alongside tranexamic acid to bring discolouration closer to the skin's natural base tone.
• Glycolic Acid 1%: gently exfoliates dead surface cells, lifting away pigmented cells and promoting uniformity of tone.
• Niacinamide USP 5%: pharmacopoeia-grade vitamin B3 that fortifies the skin barrier and reduces pigmentation.
• Vitamin E 0.2%: antioxidant protection, nourishing the skin as the actives work.
• Olive Oil Squalane 5%: olive-derived emollient that locks moisture in and supports the barrier without heaviness.

How to Use

• Apply: smooth over cleansed face and neck morning and night, after toning and before moisturising.
• Or target: apply only to pigmented areas and dark patches prior to moisturiser.
• Follow: finish with a suitable Fusion Meso moisturiser and Meso Shield 50 to protect the skin.

Shield the skin with Meso Shield 50 whenever Mela Drops is in use.

Tips

• Pair with Radiance Cream for overall skin brightening, and where dark patches or melasma are the concern.
• Pair with Exosomes Serum or Cica post-care to calm inflammation and help prevent redness or flaking in melasma homecare.
• Applying to the pigmented areas alone helps harmonise tone, bringing discolouration closer to the client's natural base.

Contraindications & Precautions

• Avoid where there is sensitivity to AHAs or other actives.
• Do not apply over open wounds, active impetigo or severe untreated dermatitis.
• Build tolerance gradually. Stop use if redness or flaking occurs, and do not reapply until the skin has normalised.
• Use an SPF sunscreen daily.
