How It Works
Niacinamide is one of the most extensively studied ingredients in topical skincare, and it works on several concerns at once. It calms inflammation, which is what brings down redness and irritation. It regulates how much oil the skin produces, which in turn reduces the appearance of pores and helps settle acne. And it works on pigmentation and skin barrier function, brightening the complexion and rebalancing the skin's microbiome over time.
Squalane handles the moisture side. It closely resembles the oils the skin makes itself, so it absorbs without sitting heavily, locking moisture in and restoring the barrier so less water is lost. It is also non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores, which is why it suits oily and congested skin as readily as dry skin and it carries antioxidants that help protect against environmental stressors such as pollution.

- Niacinamide USP 5% (Vitamin B3): a water-soluble vitamin supplied here to pharmacopoeia grade. It brightens the skin, reduces acne and blemishes, improves barrier function and rebalances the skin's microbiome, while calming redness and regulating oil production.
- Olive Oil Squalane 10%: a stable derivative of squalene, which occurs naturally in sebum — and derived here from olives rather than from marine sources.
